ICEHOTEL: A Hotel Made of Ice

When Yngve Bergvist decided to build a hotel in 1989 in Jukkasjärvi, Sweden, about 200 kilometres north of the Arctic Circle, no one imagined it would become so (0) ......... .  The main (1) ......... between his hotel and all others was his (2) ......... of building material: ice.  The ICEHOTEL is the original world-famous hotel made from snow and ice and has come to be an unexpectedly important part of Swedish winter tourism.

The story began in 1989, when an art exhibition was built from ice beside the Torne River. Visitors were fascinated by the unusual building, and the idea of sleeping there soon caught on.
